Orphan Sponsorship
For just $1.23 a day,
you can provide a sufficient supply of clothing, food, water, medical care and tuition towards an education that a child needs to survive for one full year.  Your sponsorship will not only give a child the basic necessities he/she so desperately needs, but it will also give them a family to associate themselves with.

Orphan & Family Care
An estimated 340,000 orphans exist today in Sierra Leone.  Most of these are living in extreme poverty and/or on the streets.  Project Restore Hope partners are seeking to make a difference in the lives of these children.

Healthcare Enhancement
The average life span in Sierra Leone is 37-40 years of age.  Less than 40% of the population has access to healthcare. The infant mortality rate in Sierra Leone is among the highest in the world. Project Restore Hope will provide Sierra Leoneans with much-needed medical and dental care as well as bringing nursing and midwifery education.

Youth-at-Risk Programs
The civil war in Sierra Leone was fought largely by children and teenagers.  Most of these witnessed or participated in atrocities that carry emotional scars for life.  Project Restore Hope will develop and facilitate programs that will help with the healing process for these individuals and point them toward a better life.

Community Development
Many of the Sierra Leonean communities continue to lack basic infrastructure needs. Because of segregation of people groups, post-war trauma and poverty, even basics like clean and stable water supply, waste management and basic electrical supply are not available.  Beginning with the Jui community, Project Restore Hope will organize efforts to pull together an entire community to help meet basic and fundamental community needs.

Spiritual Transformation
While programs that address health, education , community development and infrastructure needs are important, these ministries will not transform a nation. Sierra Leoneans like all people are in need of an encounter with Divine grace that causes us to love God and love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

Academic Partnership
The University of Texas at Arlington and the University of Sierra Leone are collaborating to create a department of social work to help provide solutions to many of the post-conflict social challenges through teaching, research, and service. Academic programs will include a Bachelor of Social Work, student internships, and continuing education in social work. Graduate training in social work will be developed over the long term.
